In this picture it is showing the conveyer belt which is used to explain Linear time. In the present we can see whats happening. We are in the present room. But on either side of the conveyer there are the past and future rooms. We can not enter into either rooms. But the ways we have spent our time and "filled the container with flow through to the past and coming up the conveyer are future containers waiting to be filled. Check the website for a better explanation.

Conclusion

There are many discussions around this question but no matter what, unless we have proof, nobody can say for sure which is correct. But science is moving quickly and who knows what we will find out in the future.
